Velt documentation
Velt compiles your TypeScript to a native executable: Rust-class speed, every core, and no
runtime to install. It reads .ts and .tsx files as they are, and adds what a compiler makes
possible: typed errors, integer types, extend and parallel tasks.
| The Book | Learn Velt: getting started, a tour, Velt for TypeScript developers, and guides for servers, CLIs, async, errors, memory, packages, testing and hot reload. |
| The Reference | The precise rules: types, functions, classes, errors, async, memory model, modules, diagnostics, … |
| The standard library | One page per module, at its import path: velt/fs, velt/net/http (fetch), velt/encoding/json, velt/process, velt/collections, … and the always-available prelude. |
| Packages | The official packages: http-server, sqlite, postgres and redis. |
| Tooling | The velt command, velt dev, package.vlt, packages, formatter, editors, debugging, WebAssembly, platforms. |
| Internals | How the compiler works: the pipeline, the interfaces between stages, and the design notes behind the language. |
